Kenya

Much like Ghana, Kenya is somewhere that would be good for my work. My impression of Kenya is that it caters mostly for far higher-end foreign tourists than myself, but I’m sure cheaper options can be found, especially if just living and working rather than touring.Â

Getting there

African flights are never cheap, but this is one of the busier hubs. Flights start at about R7.5K for Nairobi and around R10.6K for Mombasa.

Places

Nairobi and Mombasa

Costs

Livingcost.org shows Kenya as 32% cheaper than South Africa, but I must still look at short-term accommodation costs.Â

Highlights

This won’t be a highlight for anyone else, but I do some writing for Kenyatta University (in a far more formal and respectful style than on my own site, I should add!) and I’d like to see the place and get a feel for the campus and student culture.Â
