Peru is not only home to Machu Picchu, one of my long-term Bucket Listers, but Cuzco has been highly recommended to me as a place with a vibrant nomad community. Getting there from SA is a bit complicated and costly, but it looks good for a long stay.

This is a great one! So long as you have a reutrn tickent your passport is valid 6 months from your date of departure, South Africans can stay 183 days in Peru.
